D&D Online

Post by Anareon »

Anyone here play and if so, who what when and where?

I'm on Argonessen or whatever and currently play a low ranger named Wryeliu I think.

I'm not playing it, but I am looking at other games from Everquest. You may see me there sometime.

PS Get your ass back to EQ!

Or, I'll take a guild hookup now in case I don't go past the trial now, but I do maybe later. But, I may not be able to join a guild on trail account. No idea.

I need WoW names to correspond to EQ names. Who is who? I saw 6 CN people on yesterday, but in trial, I can't send group invites not send tells. If and when I do get a regular account, who is who? Who can guild me? Do you guys raid at all? How many active CN members are there in WoW?

Well, there's this: http://www.cnwow.org/, but the link to the roster at the Armory doesn't seem to be working atm.

I can hook you up with guildage. The guild leader is Phaethe, other occifers are Tsundere, Mystik, Umar and Ironknight. You will probably have to fill out an app -that will let the non EQ based folks know who you are. As for active former EQ peeps, you have three that are primary WOW folks - myself, Mystik and Gaildor.

Yes we raid, once a week during the slow times and we add another when attendance picks up. We also have an alliance with another guild for the 25 man content and that raids once a week.

As for wow names corresponding to EQ names - not much I can do about that. I have a Jaffod and a Trabayre but I also have a bunch of others too.

Well, I tried to make WoW a full account last night and it wouldn't take my card(s) for whatever reason. So, instead of messing with it, I uninstalled it. I also tried D&D Online, and had nothing but problems there and uninstalled it, too.

I may go back to WoW at some point since I did like it, but I'm not in the mood for hassles right now.

I reinstalled it yesterday! I'll probably try again in a few days to upgrade to full version.

D&D Online is Free Goofy. I haven't spent anything on it yet. They do have a subscription service and a store like EQ does now though.

I tried D&D Online but it just sat there with a black screen. I tried a few things, but nothing fixed it so I gave up.

I have played this game a bit and it is my opinion that it is decidedly lackluster. It looks and plays much like any of a dozen WoW clones from what I can tell having never actually played WoW. While this is not entirely a bad thing, clearly Blizzard must be doing something right, I believe that a game needs to be distinctive to stand out; it needs something unique besides textures or place names.

The f2p model is one that is pretty cool, but the item mall can get a little irritating.
