EQ housing

So, I paid for a plot, and put a house on it. I have a 'crate of eviction' from the last house/plot I had. But no matter what I try, I cannot find the magic keys to press to get the "unpack" icon to be functional. It's greyed out and I cannot seem to be able to unpack all my 'stuff'. Any ideas?

Did you place the crate in the yard? IIRC, you place the crate, then you can right click on it and unpack.

I tried placing the crate in the house, and then placing it outside in the yard. The result was the same. I can't "unpack".

My only other suggestion is to remove the house you have placed. If there is a house in your Crate of Eviction, then it won't unpack, because you can't have two houses. Other than that, I have no idea...good luck!

Hmm. I truly don't remember if there is a house in the crate or not. I guess I could destroy the house not in the crate, and see if that works?

You don't necessarily need to destroy the house you have placed, just put it back in your inventory (I think you can sell them back to the vendor, if it's just a plain ol' store bought house).

I went ahead and destroyed the house. And still cannot unpack.

Can't think of anything else to try

Could just delete the box, then it wouldn't bug you anymore.

Is it possible to have more than a single crate of eviction? I right-clicked on mine, selected "inspect", and it says that there are zero items inside it.

Naturally, when I last owned a house, I had LOTS of stuff.

Should I delete this crate and hope for another to 'poof' in its place?

Very annoying. Why own a house in EQ if I can't unpack all the stuff I bought/earned/collected prior to now? /sigh

YAY!! I actually /petitioned, and received a response in just over 24 hours!! Amazing!!

Turns out, Glauri is an idiot!! Guess you folks already knew that, eh? She had ANOTHER crate of eviction in a bag, in her bank. I thought I checked the bags, but clearly not well enough. I had to purchase yet another house, but when I unpacked, all was there!!

I really only went through all this to get at my Quintessence of Elements, should I get that far with this darn collection quest! /sigh

Glad it was figured out what was wrong!

I suppose if I ever get back to playing, I'll actually have to get Time flagged to work on the quest. As time consuming and PITA as it sounds, I'm actually intrigued by all the tradeskilling!
