Pretty boring stuff.

Apparently their running out of ideas with Paladins gave them an undead stun.

Pure melee got a swarm pets, called Phantoms.

Umm, Paladins always had an undead stun. It's called stun. wtf?

Maps, quest links, anything useful to help get started?

It's a stun that works only on undead. IIRC, it will stun over level cap, (I think it will stun up to a level 103...I'm too lazy to go in a check the boards).

Don't make it any better, if your like me, its pretty hard to give up a spell gem slot.

Bards got a War Chorus that increases melee dps for everybody in the area of the bard
Warriors got an upgrade to FS that has a proc on it
Shamans got a 4.6k splash
Clerics got Aura of Divinity (that they don't have to quest for) that adds 14k hp to everybody in group

T1 raid loot is around 3.4k hp/mana
T1 group isn't much of an upgrade from t4 RoF

ok merc aa, not normal new merc gear, not normal new. aa increases normal and unless you believe there is some magic pill that can make new stuff that doesnt involve me having more buttons to click for activated i'm pretty ok with just having aa's to earn again for a few weeks. A handful of new spells some very neat like our aoe bard song which will help guilds like ours especially those nights we're at one or two bards on raids. More zones and raids coming thru the year which is the new normal so i guess that goes in the normal part also. Major push is the heroic missions, not exactly new or normal if you enjoyed ldon's and earning points you should like these and they're tuned to 3 person with mercs.

I mean really eq is 14 years old did you expect a new game to appear with the new expansion? I'm just glad and hope that its still a few years away from the "this is the last or was the last expansion we will of course continue to support eq in its present form as long as it is profitable enough to do so." message. I still enjoy logging in and grouping with my friends and raiding with our guild and hope to do so for quite awhile yet.

Glad your satisfied, bud. You found me out though. I was definitely expecting an entire new game to come out with this expansion.

Speaking of which don't forget to open a new forum so we can dump all these things for CotF into it.

Satisfied? I guess that would be a word you could use. I am satisified that in the current climate of eq's development. With the age of the game, pure dollars in vs dollars out revenue wise that getting any new content is preferable to none. I would not want to have to go another year with just finishing up hunter in Rof and working on alts almost exclusively when not on normal group nights. I do not believe we'll ever get another Planes of power or long quest strings as the developer time involved is just not feasible. I am satisfied that they are trying to continue to give us "something" new and that they held off another level increase just to hopefully extend the life of eq another development cycle past Cotf. Could we have gotten a o my goodness great expansion if we allowed them to go till sept or oct of next year without releasing anything i think so, would the game survive a wait that long that is something we won't know. One thing i do know every time they release an expansion i've found things to do that keep me intrested, and it was getting to be that time again... it fills a couple hours of my free time each night that's all i really hope for, well that and omm getting me killed or blaming me for killling him

Nah, never said it made it any better, just explaining it more. IMO, it's really not worth a spell gem slot. I'd rather keep up a stun I can use on ANY mob.

Encs get a new nuke, which procs 760 mana back onto group members... but only if they aren't on a mount.
This is now our 5th way of providing extra mana with our group beyond the basic crack buffage.........

Also a new Rune (single and group cast versions) which works against only DOTs!
