New sig for Qmaus

Postby Qmaus » Sat Jul 30, 2005 9:45 am

Well, since the daggers shown in my old sig no longer look like the daggers I now carry around (because, well, it's a different dagger, LOL), I figured I was due for a new sig. What do you think of this one, folks?

Looks good, except maybe try changing text color. Red perhaps?

Red was actually my first choice, it didn't show up well against the background, though, and made it hard to read the words.

If you want red, try using red with a fine glow effect around it to help it stand out, maybe white or a lighter red.

How exactly is that accomplished, Keld?
I'm incredibly artistically challenged, LOL.
Without paint programs I'd never even manage to make a happy face correctly.
Anyway, just wondering if you can tell me how the effect is achieved (the "fine glow"). I've never had any art lessons at all (because I'd probably fail them, LOL.), I was smart enough to know my limitations and took music theory classes to meet my arts requirements in college instead of taking art classes.

Qmaus, you're correct, you would need something like Photoshop or Paintshop Pro to get the glow effect. With those programs it's just a simple effect option, takes just a few mouse clicks. Doing it by hand in something like MS Paint isn't impossibly but would be very tedious and difficult. If you'd like to give it a shot just to see what it would look like I'd be happy to do it for you, just PM me or send me an e-mail at sbriscoe7@cox.net.
