Backing up a yuku/ezboard forum

Postby Jhereg » Fri Feb 26, 2010 4:14 pm

Does anyone know of a program that can crawl through a web site and download a copy? I know google bot and other search sites do it for themselves, but I don't know if there's software generally available.

I'm looking to download and backup a copy of our old yuku forums in html format if possible that could be cleaned up partially later to make it look decent (no ads, etc).

I know Front page can pull down a copy of a website. I don't know if it can do it with a chat board format though.

I tried it, but not working the best. I'm not sure how to tweak it to work better but I'll try again later.

I ran it on CN boards all day downloaded almost a gig of data and that was non member only stuff... It worked it just takes time.. No clue how to configure it for a member account.

Yeah, that was part of the part I had problems with. Also some weird pauses on small files but that wasn't too bad.

I'm trying to let it run again tonight while I'm at work, I figured out I think how to setup access for it to my account. We'll see how it goes.
