Hmmm patch day

Checked the schedule last week and I don't remember seeing a patch scheduled. Was this one just a sniper patch?

think its a ninja patch...atm i cant even get to log in...patcher acting up or something...it downloads a bunch of files....says download complete...but the download button stays up....and it downloads the same files again...never being put in my files...hoping its something on their end...have to keep trying...hope to be on later

They had indicated it was an eight hour patch when I logged on this morning. I was playing until almost 6am CST. If they held to the 8 hours, it would not be until 2pm CST or there abouts that they would be back up.

yep i was up till 5:30 myself...patch was at 6 CST where i am....so 2pm CST would be minimum till its back up...but if things are messed up could be tonight...never know when they have extended patches...

patcher is finally working righht for me...hopefully that means they will get up soon...hate to miss a raid night due to a patch )

Took todays downtime as an opportunity to go mattress shopping. I love how the people on craigslist claim it was lightly used but it looks like a 300lb lineman has been jumping on it. Might just finance one through mattress giant to save myself the pain of dealing with shady people.

Up time for servers is listed at 2:00 pm Pacific now -- about 90 minutes away.

I'm somewhat concerned by the inclusion of UI changes (options window, animation), which often cause trouble for people with custom UIs. Especially as we'll want to get a fairly quick start tonight.

from my experience anytime estimated downtime is 8 hours+ its more like 10-12 hours

What annoys me isn't the patch time but the 5 day notice to the patch that wasn't even on the main page. Also who wants to bet all the issues are being caused the card game beta junk and nothing else?

Maintenance Update: All SOE services are undergoing maintenance. Everything is currently expected to return to normal around 3:00pm pdt. The EQ servers will remain unavailable until the overall maintenance is completed. Forum access and other services that require login may be available before the maintenance is completed, however they will most likely continue to experience slow periods due to the heavy traffic. For the forums, you may need to relog in to get your forum rank to update correctly. We will keep you posted if the complete timeframe is changed. ~ Zatozia (2:25pm pdt)

They've been pushing it back constantly every half hour, why even post an ETA increase of 30 minutes over and over instead of just saying 2 hours ETA.

Whilst waiting, ensure you run the patcher. No, you won't be able to login, but at least the files will be updated for when (if?) the servers do come up.

Well .. it seems all the EQ related stuff is downloaded and what he's downloading now is all LoN related.

Being daring and trying to start the game not fulkly patched and lets see what happens

On Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 4:00 am PDT (5:00 am MDT, 6:00 am CDT, 7:00 am EDT, -7.00 GMT), all EverQuest servers will be down brief hotfix. The estimated downtime is 1 hour.
