Its kinda funny, I think those numbers are not real. Just put there for show, but still.

I am sure you realize that the poor and undereducated also tend not to votel. Not sure it is fair to make any direct coorelations. That said I would still like to think that a person with an IQ of 88s' vote would still count as much as a persons with 110.
I assume we all know that Applied Eugenics were taught in all major universities in its time. I would hate to go down that path again.
Try breaking it down by income level next time. Then try to compare income level to IQ.
(People with higher income levels were more likely to vote for Bush, and yet I'm not sure how you could argue that people with higher income levels had lower IQs...)
EDIT: Discussing politics on an EQ message board is a surefire way to piss off a bunch of people. I'm not sure we want to go there.

I also believe a person with an IQ of 88 probably without a degree or high paying job knows what is better for *himself and his family* than someone with a high IQ with degree living in completely different conditions knows. Each person should vote what is best for them as they see it. It would be very presumptuous to assume the 'smarter' people know what’s best for the dumber people as they live in completely different conditions. No one was *duped* into voting for one candidate or the other, most people knew what they were voting for, or against.
Yes. My point was that trying to break voters down by income is just as valid as trying to break them down by IQ - it's not.I also believe a person with an IQ of 88 probably without a degree or high paying job knows what is better for *himself and his family* than someone with a high IQ with degree living in completely different conditions knows. There is also not necessarily a connection between income and IQ. Although my earnings in the past were solidly middle class even though I was single, I would say that I am currently barely above the poverty line. If there were such a connection, perhaps one of those incomes would reflect my intelligence but both certainly would not.
Just fyi, although my income is approximately 25% of what it was, I'd say that my standard of living has actually improved (with the exception of my internet connection). This is due to moving from a metropolitan area to a rural area with low property value.
I do think that people with lower incomes tend to react more strongly to economic changes, mostly because the impact on their day to day lives is felt a bit more. Issues like inflation, minimum wage laws, health insurance, etc affect the lives of the $7 an hour worker a little more than the 65k a year suit. This doesn't necessarily end up as Democrat vs. Republican but perhaps more What Is vs. What Should Be. When people vote against a current regime, it is because something about how things are being handled makes them feel insecure and uncertain.
I have deliberately made no mention of foreign policy.. too explosive an issue these days.

You all missed my point completely. My comparison of income to IQ is just as valid as the comparison of various states' average IQ to who that state's electoral college votes went to - it is not.
On anything but a statistical basis, income has nothing to do with IQ. There are very smart people (up through genius level) who have very low incomes. There are also very stupid people (certain celebrities, athletes, etc.,) that have very high incomes.
At any rate, political discussions have no place on a MMORPG guild forum. The original post was politically charged, and I responded against my better judgement. This will be my final post on this thread.

Statistics is lies in a system, so whatever they say are not true in any particular cicumstances. But "may" be true as the average of very many instances.
But the reason I posted this is that its funny... and not a politically discussion as such.
