Here's some more fun magic for you, then!
Power is work done over time. Work done can be simplified to Force times a displacement for the linear case, but the true form is a path integral of F x ds, where ds is an infinitesimal displacement (infinitely small).
Since F = mass x acceleration, we have:
W = integral ( ma.ds )
but acceleration is the just the derivative of velocity, right? Assuming mass is constant over time, we can represent the integral of acceleration as velocity:
W = 1/2 m v^2 (plus a constant)
What does this mean? 1/2mv^2 is energy, so work done represents the change in energy! Energy in conserved when you do work!

yeah but the boss is obviously a factor to include in that Lachaise, cos while you get a certain amount of money per unit of work, your boss gets MORE money than you. Worse still, he actually does little to no work in order to generate this money (assuming he is like most managers  especially middle mangement types).
So Lachaise has the following $=W x t (work per unit of time)
but his boss has the following $ =Wl x t x constant (work by lacahise per unit of time) the constant being how much ass kissing the boss does, again assuming the usual middle management tendancy to kiss ass. What is interesting to note is that ass the amount of ass kissing rises the amount of work required by lachaise tends to zero.
i.e $ = t x constant.
This goes to show that regardless of how much work a person does it is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and can be surplanted by asskissing.

As a side note to Jaffod's reply, I must have done something wrong when I was a boss, as no one was kissing my behind! (hmm, perhaps I was doing something wrong?)
Or perhaps I just expected the people under me to do the jobs they were hired for. Oh what a concept!
As for mass being constant, Szork, I think If I roll a snowball down a snowy hill the mass could increase and thus accelaration would decrease, even taking into account the resistance of rolling?
Thus showing that a gain in mass could slow things down!
