RE: Prophecy of Ro

Postby Jhereg » Tue Jan 03, 2006 11:20 pm

Pretty short notice on this one. People were discussing in guild today I thought the idea of a theoretical expansion soon. I had guessed they would recycle giants since they did dragons, drachnids and mistmoore recently in expansions. Looks like I'll be wrong! Or maybe ro = giants from southern ro or tower of solusek ro. hmmmm

Can't say they have abandoned EQ 1 despite years of 'its dead tomorrow' predictions.

Edited in the part about me likely being wrong + OMG BANK SPACE!!!!!!!

Looks like a revamped freeport. No metion of new AA's (that is what you get for wishing a new expansion on us Silly). Also no mention of new levels.

I'm kind of expecting new group leadership and raid leadership aa's. They skipped that last expansion and tend to go back and forth in some stuff it seems.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!

I haven't finished my DoN tier 3 and only did a couple of the DoD spell missions.....

Everytime I see a new expension coming up, I want to quit EQ.

ROFL When I first read about the expansion I also said "Ohhhh buff filter!" but I was thinking "No more SV!" amusing :)

And I'm ready for a new expansion. I sure hope they have some other aa choices! Leadership ones would be nice to work on again also, I like those.

Hehe, I don't mind new expansions - what I really want though are ones where the progression is a bit more memorable - I think they did a good job with DoN and Dodh - but remembering where you are and what needs to be done in OoW and GoD with the unpronounceable names was where it kind of lost me :)

Sometime before launch though I really want to go on my first DoDH spell mission! But...friend staying with me is an architect and we're redoing my study now so kind of without cpu for the rest of the week again - it's always something!

I could go another year with out a new expansion. And a year of lvl 70 would do me just fine. Six months of no more AA, maybe leader AA, but no more personal AA.

LOL Dang, I can relate to that ALOT. But hey, I tend to be so casual player that tends to get me in trouble with the more 'serious' ones.

For I still haven't seen every freakin' zone of Velious yet either....and it seems there's always more to see. Still haven't been to Plane of Growth and I think there's a Varsoon zone or something like that I've yet to see.

Not to mention I think I need to explore OoW zones more so I can quit confusing them with GoD zones.

Or just keep doing what I'm doing...buy the expansion and figure one of these days I'll see what they got. *shrug*

I guess I should be reconsidering my decision to return to EQ, there is still content from the original release of EQ that I have not experienced, I have been to DoDh zones maybe 5 times. I once had a goal to have visited every zone in the game at least once, now is is tough enough to have visited every expansion once.

Extra bank space is fine I guess but spending $30 for 8 slots seems a bit much for me. The traps and stuff sound interesting but I have enough trouble with the interface now lol

I understand what you mean about visiting every zone. I don't have quite the same goal, but its why I'm working on keying people for the emperor in ssra for example. I just take my time at viewing these zones.

I actually may be a rare one, but I have actually explored in depth every zone short of Shadowspine, ST, VP, Anguish. However, I agree they should have waited a bit longer after DoD. With so many missions, thre is still so much for everyone to do.
EDIT: yes i forgot, have not been to Qvic + yet either.
I still remember navigating through the game without maps /boggle.

Anguish, 2 Rcod instances, Dreadspire(though keyed), and Qvic+ in GoD for me. I've generally went to other places like ST on my own pace, spreading out quests and stuff between my free time. I've seen too many hurry around wanting everything then burn out over the years even in raid guilds to want to rush too much.

I'd buy it just for the bank space, although I have no idea how i'm gonna arrange all those extra windows.
I should have named my char Fred Sanford...
