That's really creepy, it reminds me of something you'd read about in Narnia!

Yeesh, reaffirms my decision to be vegetarian though!

OK Silly Silly. As you know I'm kinda slow, but I gotta know. What does that have to do with being a vegetarian? hehe

Putting a human features on animal...just eerily reminds me that animals do in fact have nerves and thoughts and feel both physical and emotional pain acutely, just as people do. I think of eating an animal and feel a little cannibalistic.

Abstract thinking...I'm a weirdo, I know...

Lets go have a beer & forget I said anything :p

Be carefule Aubri, you don't want me on a tangent ;) At least not 'till there's medical staff with sedatives available!!!

by the way the material they use to settle/filter beer quite often contains fish scales - so that makes beer non-vegetarian friendly.

Aubri actually makes an interesting point - I read an article in Nature (If I recall the journal correctly) that showed the presence of definiate movement of chemical markers after a plant was cut - this is basically a pain response. So yes not only are plants alive but they 'feel' pain too.

Tofu And Processed meats at Table 4 pleazse!! I think I'm going to be extra hungry!!

In all seriousness, Silly and I don't often see eye to eye on our eating habits, as she is a veggy person that loves animals, and I am a carnivor that thinks George, our last steewr, made some darn fine meat, and I might just serve him as a main dish to my Tropical foilage, my dogs, and all of the crickets living in my house. However, this is not the point, so everything you just read was absolute and complete spam, however, my next paragraph won't be.

The truth of the matter is, this is an eat, or be eaten world. I'm sure scientist will say that animals dined on human bones, as we dine on thier decendants now. And to be cruelly honest, it is still very much that world today, as any cow can be cornfed and bring beef to the dinner table, any beautiful rose can be someone's snack, (Mainly Mine, because I think rose peddles are delicious), and any lonely camper can become any animals delectable meal if said animal isn't more afraid of us then we are of them.

As far as the picture goes above: I found this to be a farse of a man, and a dog being put together, as the saying goes, Blankity blank is as ugly as a dog! Case and point proven above. When I first saw the picture, the subject of the post was "Free Dog To Good Home!" My only guess was, this was an artistic break up of a man, and a woman, woman being artsy with a bvit of computer saavy, and decided to go virtually public. However, as we are all pretty much adults here, (Minus a few meleers that constantly threaten me with trains, no names included *Laughs hysterically*) I think we can all safely say... This picture is good to laugh at.

And any man who crosses my path, please be aware that I may not be computer ejumikated, but this idea is a rather nice sentiment, ROFLMAO!
