Christmas Lights

Postby Saphirone » Mon Nov 21, 2005 7:54 am

I don't see how THIS GUY did it, but I would sure hate to have his light bill, be his neighbor, or anyone with Epilepsy!

HOLY SLEIGHBELLS! That's crazy. Music sounds kinda like Trans-Siberian Orchastra stuff. Matter of fact while researching a tiny bit I found this link...

http://www.trans-siberian.com/intro.html

notice the music?

The music is indeed Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It's their song "Wizards in Winter."

Yowza Pohl - I'm impressed! And a link straight to the same song on their website too.

Which means they are either mind numbingly popular in other areas, or I need to get out more.

Possibly both.

Either way - thank you Pohl, Fuddara!

It's entirely possible. They make gadgets that can do this. But for the response, etc in that... I'd say stop motion. Which means not only does he have too much time on his hands to put up all those lights, but also to make the video for it. Still nicely done, and something fun to gawk at. :)

OMGOSH! I can't believe it! This house is NOT A hoax! There was an artical in the Hobbs Daily Sun Newspaper this morning, (My local newspaper) About it. Here is the Artical.

Plain simply will not suffice
MASON,Ohio (AP) — During the holidays,
some people are content to deck their homes
with evergreen wreaths and holly, and
maybe a few strings of lights made to look
like glimmering icicles.
But not Carson Williams.
He spends almost two months hooking up
25,000 lights, then programs them to dance
to Christmas music.
Hundreds of cars drive by his house north
of Cincinnati every night to see the display,
which also is posted on the Internet.
“So far, everyone’s been really courteous,”
Williams said on NBC’s “Today” show
Monday. “I told the neighbors, I told the sheriff,
if they get any complaints, I’ll shut it
down, because the neighbors are more
important to me than the Christmas lights.”
This is the third year Williams has assembled
the display, which grows every year. He
often stays outside for hours, chatting with
visitors and directing traffic.
“We’ve had no problems,” said Dave Hare,
who lives across the street.
But the first year, it took some explaining.
“We called it the psycho house,” said
Hare’s wife,Michelle. “It was just weird random
flashes.”

Here is the Family That owns the house:

Bum deal. You know....because some extra traffic is so dangerous and detrimental and all :? .

With the traffic this house brough to the neighborhood, the community probably could have benefitted nicely (local coffee shops & whatnot). I bet if they spent a little time helping to organize traffic or do something offering alternative routes, they could have kept the smiles on the kids' faces. Or even restrict traffic to all but those people who live in the neighborhood (this obviously couldn't be extremely well enforced but should help) and ask that viewers walk a couple blocks with their radios & walkmans to check it out.

'Tis a pity that so ofen when people make huge effort and take the time to do something even remotely extrordinary, SOMEONE has to complain about it and rain on the parade.
