Big Thanks~

Postby Skratz » Mon Sep 19, 2005 6:49 am

I would formally like to thanks doeb, fibban, szork, galarina, zurlik(and taste) for helping me die, and die, and die some more, and finally obtain my lvl 68 DoD spell!

(boss hits 3k with KB AE and 1700ddAE)

it was a matter of pride, and they all stuck it out to take him down. Gratz to taste on a nice neck, and everyone else for a piece of gear to destroy.

Thanks guys. (and gal)

You need to kill some overbearing brute for a level 68 spell? Sigh.

Gratz anyway.

Yup... spell

Took me from 8:30PM to 1:30AM to do 4/5 missions, and about 2.5 hours to do the missing trial(3 wipes).
total time 7-8 hours for the whole thing.
depending on your spell its a waste, but I really needed it.
every time it is called to BURN IT DOWN, or MAX DPS, I can never push harder then I normally fight, except with a 30 sec disc.(if its up)

This pet was parsed and dps around 2k over 18 sec for 525 mana. (dps differs depending on focus/pet aa/flurry etc.) so nothing special damage/mana, but still adds up for burning purposes.
Level 70 werewolf pet, lasts 18 sec, 18 sec refresh on cast, enrages.
Plus its sweet graphic.

I'm... Iffy on the cleric spells.

The cleric heal is big, fat, fast, cures counters and solves world hunger. But it has a 30 second reuse and costs 1375 mana.

Chromastrike is rather odd. Clerics and Enchanters are, as far as I know, the two casting classes that didn't have at least 2 resists to go against, so it's nice for those that nuke... But they could give these 2 classes uncapped Mana Burn, and it wouldn't really matter all that much - Generally they're too busy doing other things with their mana, and nuking's pretty low on the list (less so for Enchanters I guess).

Death's Regret.. A new undead nuke. Whee. The chance to snare and slow is... Interesting. Can't help but wonder how reliable it'll be - If I can get a snare off on most undead in 1-3 nukes, then use the new Turn Undead and such... Hm. They're going /somewhere/ with this, but I'm not sure where.

The expansion looks fun though, and I can't wait to poke around in it :)
