I think it should be free 7 up instead but free anything is rare.

So like, last night around 9pm I decided I needed to go get a slurpee. They were all out of their "free cups" so we had to pay, but boy were they de-lish!

A 7-11 story? Hhhmm

Ok back when I was about 14 I had this "bad influence friend" Mandi. We used to stay the night at each other's house talking on the phone all night to boys until she started getting grounded from the phone on a regular basis.

So one day we decide to sneak out and go up to 7-11 to use the phone and talk to boys all night.

Well so we were doing that right? Ignoring the rain, what strong teenagers. Then all the sudden we see this motorcycle and think it is Mandi's mom's boyfriend and so we drop the payphone and book it trying to get back to the house before he does. Well, it was raining like I said and we were slipping and sliding all over the place, falling on the ground trying to run fast as we could back to the house.

Well we get there...the motorcycle is in the driveway...rain all over it and it wasn't warm. So, we were covered head to toe in rain and mud for no reason as it wasn't him out looking for us.... but snuck back in the house anyway and went to bed like nothing happened trying to conceal our giggles the whole time.

That's the only 7-11 story I can think of, and amazingly enough I never did get caught or in trouble for sneaking out that night. Ah well we were just giggling on the phone to boys anyway, not out hanging with gangs & doing drugs or anything like that. Could have been worse teenagers I suppose :p

The only 7-11 story I can think of still upsets me. Our family once lived in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where a friend of my brother's pulled a disgusting stunt. He took a hamster into the local 7-11, put it in the microwave oven, maxxed out the timer and then left the store. You can imagine the results. 8(
What a sicko! This is the same kid that dropped firecrackers into baby birds' mouths.

Blame Steven Spielberg for that one.

Gremlins. In the movie one of the characters trying to fend off gremlins tosses one in a microwave and it explodes.

What a sicko!

It is a proven statistic that most children that abuse animals (firecrackers in baby birds, etc) tend to grow up to be abusive to people as well.

This is one of the reasons why I don't understand our animal cruelty laws. If someone douses a dog in gasoline and sets it on fire, they get a slap on the hand and likely have to pay a fine. Not near good enough lesson learned for someone who's more likely to grow up and become a predator on society.

Also I read an interesting statistic the other day (I so wish I could remember where) that police officers tend to be (I think they said 25%) more abusive to family than the average population. I wonder why this is?

My dad's a police officer and he was never abusive to me... only my brother, but he really did deserve it.
