I'm Back in Town and Need Some Help

Postby Reiynman » Sat May 21, 2005 4:37 pm

Hiya Everyone,

I got back from Kentucky (hock-spit-patoo!) this afternoon... not much there, if any of you are curious. :?

I left my trader on while I was gone, when I got back I had a timeout message on my screen as if the server had rebooted or perhaps I'd lost my internet connection at some point while I was gone.

Without logging all the way out of EverQuest, I re-connected to my trader, was able to log back in to the game and all, but when I tried to minimize the EQ window for something else I needed to do, I got an error message and EQ froze.

Now when I try to connect to the game, I can get as far as typing my station password but it will not let me begin the process of logging on to the server. My computer still responds, I can ctrl-alt-dlt and 'End Task' to close out the EverQuest that is [not responding] and try over and over again, but no luck.

I have, of course, rebooted and did a file scan and all that jazz ... all the basic stuff.

Anyone have any clue what I might want to try?

Have you had your trader up on Maelin server?

If not, rename the ini file to reflect maelin.

Turned out I had to do a system restore on my computer.

Not sure what it was, but it works now.
