An old vet looking for a home

Postby Droftin » Thu Dec 03, 2009 4:19 pm

Your Main Character

-Name: Droftin
-Class: Warrior
-Race: Barbarian
-Level: 85
-Number of AAs: 3400ish
-Magelo Number http://eq.magelo.com/profile/1167064
-List which keys and flags you have:
Pretty much everything from Time to Void G

-List your alts on this server (name, level, class):
Kenn 85 cleric

A Little Bit About Yourself
Well not much to tell I have been playing EQ for 8 years and Droftin has been my main for the last four to five years. I was a member of CN for a short time last year.

-When do you normally play EQ? What is your time zone?
Well untill recently I played almost everyday. I live in the central time zone.

-CN generally raids Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8 pm Eastern Time. Raiding is not required, but we would like to know what % of raids you think you will attend.
Well I should be able to make 2 raids a week unless something crazy happens (holiday birthdays etc). I would like to make 3 per week.

-Please tell us which other guilds you have been a member of and why you chose to leave.
Well I was in Appotus Dominus for the last 6 months or so. I chose to leave because I cannot commit to meeting their 50% requirement anymore. If I made 2 per week it would be 40%. EQ needs to become a hobby that I do when I have time for it. I can keep a couple nights open to raid but 5 is not something I want to continue doing. I still have alot of friends in AD and respect thier leadership alot. I just have some RL stuff that is changing my priorities.

Before AD was Dogs of Doom. I left when the guild was on a slippery slope and it didnt seem it would pull through.

CN was before DoD and I left CN to help some ingame friends try and build DoD. Alot of my friends I had in the game could not come to CN so I wanted to go someplace and play with them. CN had apps closed at that time and were not opening for the forseeable future.

-If you are still a member in another guild, please explain:
Nope

-Which members of CN do you know? Have you had a chance to raid or group with us?

Well I know alot of you to many to list.

-Why are you applying to CN? Is there a specific reason you chose to apply to our guild?

CN is the most accomplished part time raid guild on the server. I want to find more time to spend with my family and also still have the option to raid near endgame content.

Tell us what your goals are for applying. What do you hope to get out of the guild?

The complete extintion of the Troll race. Clatoo has made them a mockery and they need to be wiped out.

-Have you read the CN Rules and Policies and understand them?

Yes

Optional Info

-What do you do in real life?

I work construction

-Where are you from?

I live near Waterloo Iowa

-Would you consider traveling to attend annual CN gatherings at various places in North America?

If it were somewhere near Iowa sure .... anyone want to come to the middle of nowhere?

-What is your favourite colour?

black and gold... Hawkeyes

I was in Dogs of Doom with Droftin. We have died alot because he ran out of hitpoints. I look forward to doing so again. I count him as a friend and know he is a decent fellow. Clatoo has indeed made the troll race look bad, so I propose multiple extinctions of Clatoo as the the clerics should waste thier mana healing me....WAIT! I hardly ever get in a group for raid with a cleric.... but I could hardly notice when Glauri has my back. I think Droftin should be polled and tagged. Damn fine fellow

Hmmm...this could mean that you die just as often w/me in group as in some other klerik-less group. I'm gonna have to think on that and perhaps re-evaluate my healing strats!

Welcome back old friend! Droft and I go way back to being officers in Fantasy Awakened. It would be hard to find a better guy who is willing to throw himself in front of something nasty so the rest of us can hack away at it.

It took me about 1/2 a second here but yeah that's pretty bad that we know exactly what's meant by that lol

Could be better, but damn sure could be worse. I should be on sometime this week. Went to get a card today, but a simple little job setting my mother in laws computer up turned out to be a big ordeal. One little driver for a printer ruined my day, lol. But I did get a free beer out of it so all is well.

I said "A free beer", that is far from heaven. That is like letting your kid lick an ice cream cone once. Now a refrigerated semi full of free beer, now we are talking!!!
