Application for Membership - Outline

The Basics

-Name Kraston / Gorakus
-Class Rogue / Necromancer
-Level 66 / 67
-How many AAs? 157 / 154
-Is this character a main or an alt? Main
-List which keys and flags you have. Kraston : Keys = Trakanon, Charasis, Sleeper, ToFS to floor 5, Talisman of Thunderous Foyer, Ring of Torden
Gorakus: Keys = Trakanon, POS (all islands), Talisman of Thunderous Foyer, Ring of Torden
Flags : ?? been ages. I know POJ trials, MB, and hedge with both. A few others but not sure what ones or which toon
-Do you have a clicky buff item? Both toons have rings for Jboot turnins. I can take care of these at anytime.
-Do you currently have an Enduring Breath item? Fishbone earring

A Little Bit About Yourself

-What are a few things you enjoy most about your class?

I play the class that is needed the most at the time. The feeling of contributing to the group / raid is the most fun. Rogue does make life easier to pay attention but Necro makes life nicer for the clerics out there.
-What are a few things you enjoy most about playing EQ? (For example: raiding, grouping, soloing, tradeskilling, exploring, questing, etc)
All. I found found over the years that a good mixture will keep the game alive a lot longer.
-Give us an example of what you normally do when you play right now. What does a typical evening of playing EQ look like?
I just got back into playing EQ. Currently doing a lot of "dusting off the cobwebs" and getting back in touch with friends that I've not seen in ages.
-Tell us some of your short and long term goals for your character. (For example: quests, epic, tradeskills, leveling, AA ability, etc)
Short term: More dusting of cobwebs. Finding a nice group of people to guild with and get to know. Many soloable quest parts of epic 1.5 for rogue. Lvling both toons to 70. Have lots of fun
Long term: Have Lots more fun.
-When do you normally play EQ? What is your time zone? EST
-Please list your alts on this server (just names).
-Please tell us which other guilds you have been a part of and why you chose to leave. My memory gets worse with the passing years. After about 6yrs with EQ, I cant begin to remember them all. I spent a long time in Epic Shadows with my druid Gorabok I had great fun there, but eventually some drama got the best of things and the guild started to buckle. They rebuilt for awhile, but not till after I was long gone. Eventually landing at Epic Heroes and had a lot of great memories there for several years. Lots of cumbling and rebuilding over the years, but I wouldnt have traded it for anything. Burned out about a year ago and wound up doing EQ2 Beta and then release. I Just started getting back into EQLive, but with EH no longer around its not the same. I'm seeking a guild with the same values and goals that EH used to have.
-If you are still a member in another guild we want to know that too and why. During the fall of EH, Kraston got deguilded but Gorakus didn't. So Gorakus still has the tag. It's more for memory than anything else.
Your Experience with CN

-Do you know any current members of CN? Have you ever raided or hunted with us? Please give specific names and events if you can remember.

Sorry for any I miss, but from memory : Agrun, Riggett, Spensir, Unikyte, Tamingle, Kynare, Fibban, Maxxamus
-Why are you applying to CN? Is there a specific reason you chose to apply to our guild? Im looking for a guild that fits with my personality. After talking with some old friends, They told me that CN was what I was looking for. CN has always had a good Rep on Vazaelle, so it all seemed to fit. Family style atmosphere with the size and ability to raid.
-Tell us what your goals are for applying... what do you hope to get out of the guild? Is there anything about how you play EQ now that you hope will change once you are guilded? Just looking for a home. An MMORPG is nothing without interacting with people. A good guild of people can make the difference in how fun a game is. I'm hoping to hook up with some old friends and make some new ones along the way. Just please be patient until I get all the cobwebs off these guys :)

-I have read the CN Rules and Policies and understand and agree with them (Yes/No) Yeppers

It's great seeing so many of you guys still active and chuggin along. I look forward to hooking up with you guys in game again. 8)

As far as mains goes Uni, I havent even thought that far yet heheh. I figure since Im not concerned yet with all that loot and upgrade stuff, then terms like mains and alts become obsolete. Though you know I'll always pull whatever toon out of the bag that you want. :D

Hope to cyas all soon

Hi there!

You seem to know quite a few CN'ers here, that's awesome. I can't wait to meet you also :)

With mains/alts etc; we do have members pick a "main" for cnp purposes. Most "mains" tend to be slightly more beneficial on raids as they are generally the better flagged/geared/aa/etc. and in order to encourage our raids strength, mains have slightly more benefit to the points system than "alts" do. Of course one of the beautiful things about cn is we will never tell you you HAVE to raid, nor will we tell you which toon you HAVE to bring (unless it is a lvl/aggro/flag issue) so we have to creatively encourage folks to be the best they can be by using rewards directly related to effort. Wow, listen to me talk on and on (see what happens when Qmaus is offline for a week? I take his position).

Anyway, it isn't something you have to worry about for a while, just a thought to bear in mind if you've got a slightly more "favorite" toon :)

Hope to talk to you soon (and get twitches/corpsedrags/etc!) Tee-hee!

Had lots of fun at the raid tonight. Thanks for letting me tag along.

That makes sence. Gorakus will be my "Main" for sure. Necro is more suited for me. Also far more flexable and enjoyable imo.
But I'll always pull out the rogue if he is needed.

I found out how to look up what Flags I have so I figured I'd add them to the thread.

Flags for Gorakus:
POJ Trials
POJ Dragon
BoT Towers
MB
Grummus
Rydda`Dar (HoH trial 1)
Nomads (HoH trial 3)
Saryn - did this one last night in a raid with Tribal Fury
