A Little Bit About Yourself

What are a few things you enjoy most about your class?

Some things that I enjoy about being a Beastlord is how much ground we cover, yet not really limited in one role. I like the fact I have access to slow, DoT's, and DD spells as well as buffs like a shaman; a pretty sturdy pet second only to the necromancer's pile of bones; being able to wield weapons that once were unique only to a monk.

I can solo very well and yet feel as if being an effective member of an group. I've been the main slower, puller, tank, and back up healer in various times in my experience. Are there better classes for these roles? Of course, but in a pinch with some creativity, a beastlord can do it as well.

But were would I be without my faithful-yet-sometimes-a-thorn-in-my-side companion, Trouble? He earned his name before I had a surname back when pets could wander off and bring back red cons to play. Now, it's a matter of getting my tiger to listen to me to attack and to back off. 99.9% of the time he does.

What are a few things you enjoy most about playing EQ? (For example: raiding, grouping, soloing, tradeskilling, exploring, questing, etc)

I like to explore, group and solo. Questing's fun, but sometimes that can be a pain in the rump.Tradeskilling's something I tend to do whenever.

Raids can be a blast if well planned and organized. (My very first raid was to Kedge Keep at level 25 - it was done very well, save for the fact I was the lowest level person there and was often mob bait.) I'm easy come, easy go type of guy: I won't get my tail yanked if I didn't win the roll on the loot that dropped during the raid - but I'll be happier then any Vah Shir with fresh catnip if we succeed in our goal we started out the raid for.

Give us an example of what you normally do when you play right now. What does a typical evening of playing EQ look like?

Typical evening is for me to say hi to some friends, see what's up and if I can get in a group with them. If not, I give a mental shrug and go work on an alt or log on my druid and farm for baking supplies. Most of the time I'm having a blast.

Tell us some of your short and long term goals for your character. (For example: quests, epic, tradeskills, leveling, AA ability, etc)

Well, long term for me is to get my epic 2.0 - not in any real hurry about this, I have my 1.0 already done. I'd love to master baking (218 at the moment) and I'd like to see what DoN and other new zones - any expansion after LDoN is to see. Getting to level 70 would make me purr, but I'm more into the scenic route then the mad dash to the finish line.

When do you normally play EQ? What is your time zone?

I'll play when I can, but it's usually a sure bet to catch me in the evenings. I'm in Eastern Standard Time - I live in Maryland.

Please list your alts on this server (just names):

Mita Forsakengrove, Cryingwind Forsakendreams, Nyaah, Elainyn Elementalfury, Tsidii Pansiepatcher, Moyna, and Khavii

Please tell us which other guilds you have been a part of and why you chose to leave.

My first guild was the Fellowship of Vazaelle, but when the guild leadership changed hands the quality of the guild degraded sharply. It was once a unified guild, but it soon grew to be a guild that favored the members from the area the new guild leader was from. Other members that played during different hours that were once included in activities, etc., were soon ignored and the members from the area of the guild leader were often catered to in the ways of raids and assistence in quests.

My second guild, Soldiers of Steel, I was an active member for awhile, but I left the game for over six months due to a needed break. Now that I'm back I'm finding myself in a guild that is mostly made up of alts, with the mains being in either Unbroken Bonds or Guardians of The Throne. It is no longer an active like a guild should be.

If you are still a member in another guild we want to know that too and why.

Hanging on a technicality here, but as of this writing I am still in the Soldiers of Steel but when I log on tomorrow, I'll remove my characters. It's a ghost guild and it's only after talking to Vitala and Lanyder abit that made up my mind.

Your Experience with CN

Do you know any current members of CN? Have you ever raided or hunted with us? Please give specific names and events if you can remember.

Let's see here, without checking the roster and going off the top of my furry noggin: I know Saphirone, Eldiroth, Roladena, Silly, Vitala, and Landyer. I've just did my first successful DoN mission (The Creator) today with Vitala and some other members and like a klutz, I can't recall thier names.

Why are you applying to CN? Is there a specific reason you chose to apply to our guild?

I'm applying to the CN for I'm looking for a guild that isn't run by old friends from FoV - even if they're nice people, granted, it's just feels like some bad juju is lurking there. Nor do I want to be in the guild my friend Izzumn is in for he's the reason why I joined SoS in the first place. I feel I need to be in a guild I should have joined long ago. (Yes, former FoV members feel free to bonk me repeatedly for your advice taking so long to absorb into this thick feline skull of mine.)

I'm looking for a good mix of solid people to interact with, help out with, and to learn from, yet friends from the past I still hold in high esteem. Maybe they'll enjoy the goofy antics this furball does unintentionally, who knows.

Tell us what your goals are for applying... what do you hope to get out of the guild? Is there anything about how you play EQ now that you hope will change once you are guilded?

Is it possible to simply aspire to find the joy that I had found by playing with good people that I had about four years ago when I started EverQuest? For when you're surrounded with people with their hearts in the right place and generousity with goodwill to be found throughout a guild, that is when EverQuest true magic is found. It isn't in the mechanics of the game...but the people who play. I know I'm shooting for Luclin from Norrath here, but I know I've found it before, and from what I've heard the Celestial Navigators has that.

I have read the CN Rules and Policies and understand and agree with them (Yes/No)

Yuppers, I understand and agree to whatcha all have written in the rules. Didn't have any disagreements, nothing that gave me a hairball over.

OH MY GOSH!! *falls over on the floor!* It has been way too long, Tsekande! I remember Tsekande from when I FIRST Stepped foot into Norrath. Tse would buff me in PC when he got a new spell, or just randomly. Bought me my first ever Wizard dagger as a Christmas gift, And was always there to help me in any way possible. Bout time you applied!! Great to see your application!

Tsekande helped me with my shawl quest when I was a level 40ish enchanter in newbie armor gear and no temp. Tse helped me kill frost giants and then took me to buy my horse, which I still have. I was so impressed and touched by Tse's generousity and was greatful for the help after getting frustrated trying to solo those thing, lol. I was so impressed that I started a beastlord! Interestingly enough, at level 10, they don't quite compare, hehe.

Well, anyway, that is one of my fondest memories from EQ and I think of it often. I am glad to see that you are back Tse and would love to be guilded with you again. CN is such a wonderful place to call home!

*Looks at Saphirone on the floor, his ears tucked back and worry written on his face* You going to be okay? You know you Koada'Dal should be more cautious - strong in the mind, but not as strong as others in the body! Are you hurt? *mewing* Sorry to have surprised you...perhaps I should've let you know of my intentions, yes? *Blush* Nothing seems broken...hairballs, this is embarassing, I didn't mean to cause anyone to faint!

On the other paw here, I am honored I am remembered and I am happy to think back on those days too, for they were the best of times for me in EQ. :D I look forward to meetin' y'all and helping out as I can.

 It's good to know that my high standards are appreciated, mighty Spensir! I heartily agree - a VERY well-written application, Tse. You definitely put a lot of effort and thought into it... a major plus in my book. ;) You list some exceptional references.

One minor question - that is (from the other information) pretty inconsequential: What level are you?

We'll look forward to seeing you in the app's channel - and more importantly, in Norrath. Thanks for the interest in our guild!

I know you havent heard from me lately but that don't mean i haven't keeping an eye on you all. I do miss you guys and so I watch the boards to see whats up and I jsut have to remark about this person. Tse is great I have been in a full group with Tse and have gone to battle with just the two of us and there is no better. Tse is also one of the most giving. I think Mirril is still using the weapons Tse gave me just for a gift. All though I refused to allow Tse to spend that much money Tse offered to buy me a horse once. Tse would be a great asset to any guild and will fit in fine with CN.

PS. Hi everyone, I may stop in and say hi this weekend if I get my DSL fixed

/bonk About time!

If ever you had the urge to grab a tiger by the tail, this is the one. Tse has been a friend of mine since his little wizard invited me to my first guild at level 23 or so. Very loyal, friendly, outgoing, helpful and a little bit of a roleplayer. When I left my first guild to join CN, this is one of the people I chose to stay in touch with through a private channel. Most of the rest already ended up with the CN tag but Tse held out on us.

Great to see you back Tse =) No worries, not gonna nuke you this time.

*Whew*...But Roladena, do you remember when you nuked Donadorian's horse dead underneath her? AoE'd too close to the cleric's ride and left her wondering what the..? There's more good memories, true, but I'll admit that one takes the cake.

I'm really pleased to see Tsekande's app here. You couldn't ask for a more friendly, intelligent, generous guildie imo! I remember when Tse helped me buy my first horse as a young cleric... running to DL to bring me some chocolate as a pick-me-up... being a stalwart companion in many an ldon. I'm inordinately pleased at the chance to be in the same guild with you again Tse. :)
